About Us

Hey! We are Ryan & Caitlin, owners of True Baby Canada.

As soon-to-be new parents, we were on the hunt for trendy baby furniture and décor, but at prices we could actually afford. We soon realised this was far more difficult than we thought. Our goal then was to design and manufacture our own range of affordable products that also look lovely in your home!

In 2018, we launched True Baby in South Africa (where we were living at the time!) with a select few products: a crib, a changing table, and a high chair.

At first, our range was exclusively sold at Babies R Us stores across South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia.

In 2019, we started selling our range with other local online boutiques, as well as directly from our own website. We also added digital art nursery prints to our online shop which we designed ourselves.

In 2021, we moved back to Canada and decided to launch True Baby here, too!

So far, with regards to the furniture range, we are starting with the willow high chair, which quickly became a favourite in South Africa amongst all of the new parents.

Most frequent questions and answers

Absolutely.

The Willow High Chair has been tested by SGS (a globally accredited standards testing agency).

It has EN4988-1 (2006) and A1 (2008) certification.

We currently ship throughout Canada only.

We offer free shipping within Langley, BC, as well as a flat rate shipping fee of $15 to all areas within the BC lower mainland or greater Vancouver area.

For all other provinces, your shipment rate will be worked out during the checkout process based on your location and its proximity to BC.

Yes! We offer free local pickup in Langley, BC.

Simply choose this option during the checkout process.

Orders within the BC lower mainland and great Vancouver area will take 1-2 business days.

Delivery to all other provinces will take 5-10 business days.

If you take delivery of our products and open the box to find it is defective or damaged during the delivery process, please email us on support@truebaby.ca as soon as possible with photographs of the damage. We will get back to you as soon as possible.

True Baby will cover all delivery charges for the item to be sent back to us, and will send you a new one at no cost to you.

Unfortunately, we do not accept any returns in the case that you change your mind or no longer need the item.

If you take delivery and open the box to find a piece is missing, please email us on support@truebaby.ca as soon as possible with information on which piece is missing and we will get back to you as soon as possible with a plan to send you the missing piece at no cost to you.

Once you purchase a print(s) and complete the checkout process, you will get a high-resolution digital file sent to your email address.

Please make sure you double and triple check that you have entered your email address correctly.

Once you receive the file, you can print it at home or at your local printing stores to any desired size. The optimal size is A3 or smaller for the best quality print.
